Making faces: Capturing emotion in wool
Explore imaginative sculpture through the tactile and meditative art of needle felting.
Using wool as a sculptural medium, participants will create a portrait focusing on capturing the structure and expression of the human face.
Participants will learn core needle felting and sculpting techniques including shaping basic facial forms, understanding proportion and how to sculpt subtle shifts in form to convey character and emotion.
